Legendary Dance Guru and Academician is no more.

Legendary dance guru and academician Dr Kanak Rele is no more. She breathed her last on February 22 in Mumbai. The Mohiniyattom exponent and recipient of the Padma Bhushan award founded Nalanda Dance Research Centre in Mumbai and left a great legacy through her disciples and documented research. She shared a great bond with The Dance India magazine, and her demise is an irreplaceable loss to the Indian art and culture fraternity. May her soul rest in peace.
