Book Release on “Broadcast Journalism”

                     A book titled as “Broadcast Journalism” was released by the Former Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University and Vice- Chancellor of Centurion University Prof. GSN.Raju at function organized at Public Library, Visakhapatnam in the second week of December. It was  with the good wishes of Writer’s Academy.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest of the function, Prof. GSN.Raju,  stated that the need for effective and efficient communication is the need of the hour and emphasized on how proper broadcasting is essential for an unbiased presentation of news. He also congratulated the authors for bringing out such an esteemed work. He notified that the broadcast journalist’s research, investigation and presentation of news via television, radio and internet, should not affect the real content of the revelations.

The Guests of Honor were  Prof. D. V. R. Murthy, Head of the Department for Foreign Languages, and Dr. Challa Ramakrishna, Head of the Department for Journalism and Mass communication, Andhra University. Other dignitaries like Kurra Vijayakumar, one of the experts of electronic media and departmental heads  were present on the occasion.

The book has been authored together by Prof. P. Bobby Vardhan, Chairman for Board of Studies as well as Dean of Media Cell for Andhra University and a renowned journalist Dr. Suman Kumar Kasturi. As a part of writer’s response, each of them shared various insights on the principles, guidelines and important aspects of Broadcast Journalism which is quite an essential in this modern era. They said that the book aims broadcast journalists to present information in a balanced, accurate and motivating way.
