The Dance India, Tamil Nadu, and Pondicherry Duo State Chapters successfully organised the prestigious ” The Dance India Awards 2025″ on May 24th at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan AC Auditorium in Mylapore, Chennai. The event honoured esteemed dancers and musicians by recognising their outstanding contributions to the fields of dance and music.
The awards ceremony featured various categories, including:
- Torch Bearers Awards: Presented to Sri Janarthanan Kalakshetra, Kalaimamani Sri Kumar, and Sri Hariprasad Kaniyal for their exceptional contributions to the field.
- Beacons of Light Awards: Awarded to Smt Parvathy Ravi Ghantasala, Sri Abhayakaram Krishnan, Sri MVN Murthy, Smt Priya Murale, Smt Lakshmi Ramaswamy, and Sri Venketa Subramanian Melattur Bhagavatha Mela for their remarkable achievements.
- Best Teacher Awards: Given to Sri Suryanarayanamurthy, Smt Chitra Subramani, Smt Dharani Ramakrishna, and others for their dedication to teaching and mentoring.
- Best Composer Award: Presented to Sri Dr. P.R. Venketa Subramanian for his outstanding work in composition.
- Best Choreography Award: Awarded to Smt Manimekalai Sharma for her exceptional choreography skills.
- Best Critic Award: Given to Smt S. Janaki for her insightful critiques.
- Best Photography Award: Presented to Sri Iyyappan A4 Medias for capturing the essence of dance and music.
- Best Anchor Award: Awarded to Smt A. Porchelvi for her excellent hosting skills.
- Rays of Hope Awards: Given to Smt Mythreyi Rajagopalan, Smt Srividya Karthikeyan, and others for their promising talent.
- Young Achievers Awards: Presented to Hamsa BalaGurunathan, Mayura BalaGurunathan, and K S. Nishreya Varalakshmi for their outstanding achievements at a young age.
- Kindled Spirit Awards: Awarded to Kumari Prasiddhi Shivaprasad, Kumari Srinithi Iyer, and others for their passion and dedication to dance and music.
